CARETAKER KILLED HIS TENANT IN NEKEDE POLYTECNIC

Mr. Anthony, an NDI student of Nekede Federal Polytechnic Owerri, Imo State, department of building technology was allegly killed by the caretaker of Ezinwanne lodge in Nekede due to a disagreement between them.

It is reported that the caretaker had asked Mr. Anthony to renew his rent and when he couldn't meet up the deadline, was told to evict his house due to non payment of rent but he pleaded for more time to be able to settle his debt.

This lead to a misunderstanding between them which got out of control and the caretaker hit Anthony's head with a wooden plank, he fainted and was rushed to FMC hospital Owerri.

It was not until this morning 7th February, 2021 that he died while receiving treatment in the hospital.

The entire Federal Polytechnic students Nekede Owerri, IMO State are asking for justice for the late Anthony who met his end at the hand of his caretaker. Report has it that the caretaker is currently in the police custody.
